Who are orphans?

An orphan is a child whose parents have died, but yet still we have three types of Orphans and this how some of our orphans fall in these categories:

A paternal orphan is a child whose father has died.

A maternal orphan is a child, whose mother has died.

A double orphan is a child/teen/infant who has lost both parents.

This contrasts with the older use of half-orphan to describe children who had lost only one parent.

A paternal orphan is a child whose father has died.
